Wakanda forever confirms that Enamor is in fact a mutant , with the character telling Shari that he is a mutant. In addition, in a recent Empire Online interview with actor Enoch Huerta, the media states:_ A detail that is moving from comics? According to Huerta, his Enamor is in fact a mutant. Taking into account the history of the use of the word (or the lack of it) in the history of the MCU makes its pronunciation a big problem.
Now in Wakanda Forever, while telling Shari about his story, Enamor explains that his pointed ears and his winged feet made him a mutant. Taking into account Enamor's position in the world of comics as the first mutant never created, it is appropriate to complete the circle with his character being the first to be called mutant in the MCU.
For years, Fox Studios had the cinematographic rights of the X-Men, including all mutants and even the term mutants. During those years, Face's MCU could not use the word in his films, even cutting an Iron Man scene where Nick Fury says assorted mutants, which was finally revealed in Infinity Saga Box Set.
It was not until the acquisition of Fox by Disney in 2019 that the doors opened with respect to mutants in the MCU. Since then, we have seen some indications here and there, starting with the aforementioned Face statement in SDCC. In the universe, the first foray into the mutant world was in WandaVision, where it was revealed that Wanda had her powers when she was a child, long before Hydra experienced with her and her brother with the infinity gem.
Then, in the recent series of Disney+, Ms. Marvel, it is implied that she is also a mutant, her friend Bruno says: Kamala, there is something different in your genes. Like... like a mutation. In comics, Ms. Marvel is an inhuman, which has its own complicated story derived from the property of Fox de Mutants. Even so, it seems that MCU version of Mrs. Marvel is that she is a mutant that uses the insinuation of the word to lead Enamor's revelation in Wakanda Forever.
Fans have been waiting for more than a decade to hear the word mutant in the MCU, and now we can tell you that, Enamor is a mutant in the MCU.
