Formula 1 continues to work on a long-term future in the US and moves to at least 2026 in Austin. On Friday, the royal class announced the contract extension, the route in Texas does not form the only stop in the United States from this year: In May, Formula 1 will be a guest for the first time on the new city course in Miami.
"We are very happy about this contract renewal," said Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali: "Together we can further develop interest in our sports in the US."
In the once difficult US market, the race series has now established itself, the past Grand Prix in Austin saw a total of 400,000 spectators on site. The race 2022 is scheduled for October 23.

The American owners of Formula 1, the company Liberty Media, also thinks about the locations of Austin and Miami also over further US races.
